Such friendly staff who know what hospitality means. Food was perfect. Nice woodfired pizza oven and fireplace adds to the experience. Will be bringing friends back!"

"Not the first time here, but still love their authentic Italian dishes very much. I’ve always been, & am, captivated by their chilli mussels - simply because this palatable dish is honest, sweet & simple. The way that they blend the chillies with the pomodoro sauce that may likely have come with white wine is really that sweet & simple. And I just can’t stop having every bit of this house-made chilli sauce that goes impeccably well (watch my video clips included herein) with the mussels from Portarlington VIC. Carbonara is another knockout in that we conclude that there’s no cream added (or needed) - but their own authentic way of providing us with the truest carbonara the most remarkable Sicilian way. Great food indeed, as always."

"This is such a great find at Fitzroy and then finding out that the owner is the one who also owns Pizza Strada Bar at Dandenong North, made more this restaurant more charming. The inside of the place is intimate and having the fireplace at the middle of the room, makes it romantic or great for small catch-ups. It has character the inside. Watching the fireplace being feed by firewoods was an experience I haven’t had the for a while. The service is really friendly and checking up if were okay and happy with the food. The pizza was wood-fired pizza and was great just had enough spice to make me want more slice. Carbonara was delicious and could have ordered a second serving. But the Ossobucco was the star of the food! The meat was tender, generous amount of pasta and sauce. Perfect winter food."

The authentic and homey tastes of the food here is what makes it special. : Cugini’s is starting their Date Night Thursdays, make sure you keep an eye out! The set includes an antipasti platter, a pizza or pasta or your choice, two sides of salads, and a dessert platter. Also got to try out their new Nutella Calzone and I absolutely LOVED IT . The dough was crispy and perfectly fried, its saltiness contrasted with the sweet Nutella filling, just delicious. The pizza was also super delicious as well so I’d recommend getting them. For me, cannoli was flavorless and texture of the cream was weird, so I wouldn’t recommend that."

"It is a real Italian restaurant with a cozy sitting place with european stylish design and a nice fire place. We ordered pastas for lunch, and both were yummy with good portions. Services and behavior of staff were good. The only thing is the toilet. It needs to be cleaner and even if it needs to be renovated."

"WOW. WOW. WOW. Run, don't walk to this amazing find. Fantastic drinks, food, service, and atmosphere. It's like stepping into the Italian kitchen for dinner. The flavors are fantastic. The pizza is great, the pasta is great, the muscles are to die for (order extra bread to sop up the divine sauce), and the cocktails are excellent, too. Everything is amazing!"

"A little hidden gem on Nelson st! We enjoyed everything we had except for the fennel salad... The vibe was great and service was brilliant. The waitress was very sweet. Would definitely love to come back again."
